About

Veterans Dog Park is the Village of Minooka's first off-leash dog park, located at the northeast corner of Wabena Avenue and Wapella Street in Minooka, Illinois. The park pairs open space for dogs and owners to roam with tributes honoring United States Armed Forces members, including statues and attractive landscaping. Donated to the Village by Larry Simotes and his family, it opened over Memorial Day weekend 2024 following a community-wide building effort.
