About

Fort Astoria is a small public park in downtown Astoria, Oregon, at the corner of 15th and Exchange streets, preserving the site of John Jacob Astor's 1811 Pacific Fur Company trading post. The park features a partial replica of the original stockade building and a mural recreating the 1813 vista, marking the 1811 founding of the first American settlement west of the Mississippi.
