About

Bernard Dog Run is a community-run, enclosed off-leash dog park along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood. Named for local community activist and abandoned-dog advocate Jay Bernard, the run opened in September 2012 and offers separate sections for large and small dogs, with benches and water bowls throughout. Dog owners reach the park from the scenic trail beneath the 40th Street Bridge.
