About

Dog Park at Ervan ChewPark at 4502 Dunlavy Street in Houston was the first neighborhood park in the city to let dogs legally run off-leash in a designated zone. The fenced dog zone, dedicated in May 2004, covers about 9,000 square feet beside the picnic area and sprayground, giving dogs room to exercise freely. The Houston Parks and Recreation Department manages the park, and the dog zone was funded by the Friends of Ervan Chew Park neighborhood organization.
