About

Maxey Park Dog Park sits inside Maxey Park in Houston, Texas, where 12 to 13 acres were set aside as one of the first official dog parks in the Houston Parks and Recreation system. Dedicated in 2004, the fenced off-leash space offers dog owners separate areas for large and small dogs, doggie drinking fountains, a doggie shower, and benches throughout. Open daily from dawn to dusk, the park is managed by the City of Houston's Parks and Recreation Department.
