About

Goosenecks State Park sits above one of the most striking entrenched river meanders in North America, where the San Juan River winds more than six miles through the desert 1,000 feet below the canyon rim near Mexican Hat, Utah. Opened as a state park in 1962, this small overlook park also holds International Dark Sky Park status. Dog owners are welcome to take in the views with their dogs on a six-foot leash, per Utah State Parks rules.
